Social Sport
JCUSA Sport offers Social Sport every semester over a ten week period (weather permitting). Social Sport begins in week three of each semester. Touch Football is one 5 sports offered to students on the Townsville Campus. Touch Football is also part of the rounders competition where students play a different sport each week.
Social Sport co-ed (mixed competition) and is also open the general public (along with students).
Social Sport will begin on Monday March 4 in semester 1 with Social Sport in Semester 2 to begin on Monday August 5.

Interfaculty Sport
Interfaculty Sport is a FREE sports program in Townsville where students are eligible to play/represent their enrolled faculty. Interfaculty Sport comprises of 6 sports; and is the ultimate case for bragging rights amongst faculties! Touch Football is one of 6 sports held during the Interfaculty Sport calendar with the event having a women’s and men’s competition.
The Touch Football event will be held over three weeks with the event beginning on Wednesday March 13.

Uni v Army
Each year JCU competes against the Army in a variety of sports in a one day effort in an effort to strengthen the bonds between the University and Army communities. The event is also known as ‘Battle of the Icons’, features mixed touch football as part of the schedule.
The event date is still to be confirmed however the event will most likely to occur in September/October.
Cairns
Social Sport

Gunyarra Cup
The Gunyarra Cup is a year long inter-college sporting competition in Cairns for JCU residential college students. It comprises of 6 sports; and is the ultimate case for bragging rights on campus! Touch Football is one of 5 sports held during the Gunyarra Cup calendar with the event holding a mixed competition.
The Touch Football event will be held over three weeks with the event beginning on Wednesday August 16.

JCU Representation
Each year JCU sends teams to compete at UniSport Nationals. The UniSport Nationals provide an opportunity for students at 43 member universities from across Australia (including JCU) to compete head to head in a number of national standard sporting competitions. UniSport Nationals is the largest multi-sporting event held in Australia every year with its flagship event Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 hosting up to 10,000 students each year.
