Interfaculty Sport is a FREE sports program in Townsville where students are eligible to play/represent their enrolled faculty. Interfaculty Sport comprises of 6 sports; and is the ultimate case for bragging rights amongst faculties! Rugby League is one of 6 sports held during the Interfaculty Sport calendar with the event having a men’s competition.
The rugby league event will be held over seven weeks with the event beginning on Wednesday September 8.

There are currently no programs on the Cairns Campus that include rugby league. We are continuing to grow sport and recreation on the Cairns Campus with plans to include rugby league.

Each year JCU sends teams to compete at UniSport Nationals. The UniSport Nationals provide an opportunity for students at 43 member universities from across Australia (including JCU) to compete head to head in a number of national standard sporting competitions. UniSport Nationals is the largest multi-sporting event held in Australia every year with its flagship event Nationals Div 1 and Div 2 hosting up to 10,000 students each year.
