JCUSA Sport Awards Townsville 2022

On Friday 28th October we held our Annual JCUSA Sport Awards, this is a night where we get to come together and review the year of sport at JCU. Celebrating all sports from our 53rd year of inter college competitions known as the Winna Shield competition and our free interfaculty competitions open to all students at JCU.

This year we were excited to welcome the newest team to the competition Burralga Yumba and they had a great year being competitive in all sports, we also had a resurgence from Rotary House International which brought us to to 5 teams for our competitions. This created and even more competitive culture for our loved inter college competitions.

The Sport awards was a great night in which we celebrated our highest achieving students throughout the year. Congratulations to those who won awards and a huge thank you to all students that got involved in sports throughout the year!

We had an interesting result this year with our first ever draw in interfaculty history! Both the RESSA & VET Faculties finished on 206 points to tie for overall champions this year!
