Ian Moss to lead the JCU Men’s Water Polo Team

JCUSA Sport are happy to secure the services of Ian Moss as the JCU Men’s Water Polo coach for UniSport Nationals Div 1.

Ian has extensive credentials in water polo.  As a player, Ian is a former Queensland Open Men’s state representative and was an inaugural player in the National League.  Ian is also the current senior men’s coach for Townsville Water Polo and is also the current Queensland Country Men’s coach that last weekend won a bronze medal at the Australian Country Championships held on the Gold Coast.

Ian also liaised with JCUSA Sport around the Fisher Shield Water Polo competition where he helped officiate the competition throughout the weekend.

Ian is looking forward to leading the men’s water polo team at UniSport Nationals.

"I am excited for this opportunity to help prepare the JCU Men’s Water Polo team".

“After being involved with the Fisher Shield Water Polo competition I saw how competitive and passionate the weekend was.  We saw some very talented water polo players so I am looking forward to seeing how we go in the competition.”

JCUSA Sport and Recreation Manager Teisha Condie is happy to have Ian involved with the squad.

“To be able to obtain the services of Ian who not only is a former Queensland representative player but is also the current Queensland Country Coach is a significant benefit to JCUSA Sport”.

“With the involvement of water polo through Fisher Shield as well as the JCU Water Polo club, we feel there is potential for JCU success in the sport at UniSport Nationals”.

The men’s water polo team will be competing at UniSport Nationals Div 1 from September 29 – October 4.

Ian joins Campbell Yates (women’s rugby 7s), Jordan Coonan (men’s basketball), Brady Smith and Jenn Hamilton (women’s netball), Hannah Egan (mixed touch football) and Sarah Hesp (women’s basketball) to the growing list of coaches/managers for JCUSA Sport.
