Nominations

Nomination forms are below - please ensure you read the form thoroughly before submitting your nomination.

Nominations will open at 9am on Monday 12^th October and close at 4pm on Monday 26^th October.

Nominations are called for the following positions on the Fifty-seventh (57th) Student Association Council.

Office Bearers

• Vice-president;
• Treasurer;
• Secretary;
• Cairns Campus Officer (who must be enrolled on the Cairns Campus);
• Townsville Campus Officer (who must be enrolled on the Townsville campus);
• First Nations Officer (who must be enrolled & identifies as First Nation);
• International Officer (who must be enrolled as an international student);
• Postgraduate Officer (who must be enrolled as a postgraduate student);
• Women’s Officer (who must be enrolled & identifies as a Woman); and
• Environmental & Sustainability Student Officer

Eligibility

All Ordinary members of the Student Association who are enrolled as at nomination are eligible to nominate candidates in the categories listed above.

Nominations

Nominations close 4pm on Monday 26th October 2026.

Completed nomination forms must be in the hands of the Electoral Officer by 4pm on Monday 26th October 2026. 

Policy statements must be submitted with nominations, or the nomination may be declared invalid at the discretion of the Electoral Officer. No person shall nominate more than one person for any particular position.

Election

The election will be held on Tuesday 10th November and Wednesday 11th November 2026.
