JCU pool temporarily closed.

Update: 16/9/19

Repairs to fix the filtration system have taken place and are  completed. After a long discussion with Pool works this morning, I have been informed that the water quality is still not appropriate for swimming due to the large amount of sediment the filtration system released into the water when it was being repaired. Due the capacity for the in pool vacuum and filtration systems, we will still need a few extra days to get rid of the sediment and return the water's chemical balance to regulation standards. The latest estimated opening date will be Monday 23rd September. We do apologise profusely for not being able to provide you with the opportunity to swim on campus during this time. It breaks our hearts to see the pool in this condition.

To help keep our members active, anyone with a valid pre-purchased pool membership card can present it to the fitness centre reception to redeem free use of the Squash, Tennis and Beach Volleyball courts until the pool is operational again. If you would like to guarantee your session, you can pre-book through the Fitness Centre, just do not forget to bring your pool pass with you.

We will continue to post updates on the JCUSA Sport facebook group and also here on our website.

If you wish to discuss the matter or your membership further, please email [email protected].
